In the process he founded Compass Success Academy. Compass Success Academy helps children and youths in grades K through 12 to excel in academics regardless of their challenges, ethnicity and gender. It provides them with practical hands-on “learning by doing” experience that helps them excel.
He also founded the Communiversity, a multi-generational learning center that aims to transform poor and underserved families into productive families, adults that are gainfully employed who will patronize banks as depositors, businesses as customers and cities as tax payers.
In the process of solving the challenges of the children, families, communities and entrepreneurs Johnson realized the need for reliable sources of capital in the form of Non-Profit (501c3) Epicenter Fund and venture capital, and EpiCenter Venture Capital.
The EpiCenter Fund will be used to assemble resources (funds, assets and volunteers) to transform children, families and communities and produce success stories in the process.
To date, the EpiCenter Fund has received commitments and donations in excess of ten million dollars.
